BCI Reno team members Bruce Ziegler, Andrew Lopez, Anne Carbajal, Cameron Kygar, and Steve Fuller present a donation of 150 children’s books to support the Spread the Word Nevada Northern Community Book Drive.
The donation is part of a community-wide challenge aimed at collecting books and raising funds to provide programming that helps children build strong reading skills and succeed academically. Each book collected contributes directly to the initiative’s goal of increasing access to reading materials for underserved youth.
“Supporting literacy in our local communities is something BCI is passionate about,” said Anne Carbajal, General Manager of BCI’s Reno facility. “We’re proud to contribute to an effort that helps children develop a lifelong love of reading and creates opportunities for future success.”
The Spread the Word Nevada Northern Community Book Drive encourages participation through a points-based challenge, where each donated book or dollar contributes to an organization’s total, with bonus opportunities for social sharing and engagement. BCI’s Reno team joined the effort as part of its ongoing commitment to community involvement and investment in Northern Nevada.
At the Community Book Drive Celebration, supporters collected more than 8,000 children’s books, contributing to more than 30,000 books collected throughout the drive so far. Each of these books will soon be in the hands and homes of local children, helping spark a love of reading and support their literacy journeys.
