Trenders, Inc. (TSE:6069)
LOS ANGELES, CA, UNITED STATES, September 10, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Trenders, Inc. announced that its J-Beauty marketing division, ampule, will host a curated J-Beauty experiential activation titled “J-Beauty REST.” The activation will be held on Sept. 12, 2026 at the upcoming “A Spell In The Sky” music festival.
“A Spell In The Sky” is organized by In The Sky Production and features official support from Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Los Angeles and JAPAN HOUSE. Operating under CEO Ryoko Kurokawa, Trenders brings its extensive marketing expertise to the event, offering U.S. consumers a dedicated space to directly experience the latest innovations in Japanese beauty.
CROSS-CULTURAL IMPACT: Lessons from K-Culture and K-Beauty
Global interest in Japanese culture has expanded far beyond food to encompass music, anime, and art. According to an article by Rolling Stone Australia, Japanese City Pop continues to be embraced across generations and is frequently highlighted by international media.
The culture’s footprint is growing rapidly in the U.S., where JETRO reported that the number of Japanese restaurants reached 23,064 locations. Additionally, a 2025 report by Grand View Research estimated the global market for anime merchandise to be worth approximately $12 billion.
However, this strong enthusiasm for Japanese culture has not yet fully translated into purchasing behavior for J-Beauty products.
A valuable reference point for addressing this gap is the relationship between K-Culture and K-Beauty. The global expansion of K-Culture, driven by K-Pop, Korean dramas, and idol content, has been shown to correlate directly with the increased export of K-Beauty products. A study published in the Journal of Distribution Science reports that a 1% increase in cultural content exports results in a 0.136% increase in the export of consumer goods, including cosmetics.
This data confirms a ripple effect where interest in cultural content naturally drives interest and purchasing behavior in the underlying beauty sector.
Applying this structural framework to the Japanese market, ampule is launching “J-Beauty REST” this Saturday, an initiative that seamlessly integrates J-Beauty into the experiential realms of music and food.
CURATED EXPERIENTIAL BOOTH: “J-Beauty REST”
“J-Beauty REST” is an experiential beauty zone designed to recreate a traditional Japanese “和 (wa)” aesthetic. The space features a curated format that introduces a range of Japanese beauty categories, including skincare and makeup.
Visitors are invited to interact with the products (TRY), learn application methods and underlying philosophies from expert staff (LEARN), and uncover the unique stories behind each brand (DISCOVER).
